Charleston Learning Center Announces Return of STEM Summer Camp
Press Release

Charleston Digital is pleased to announce the return of the STEM summer camp for middle school students at the Charleston Learning Center. The camp, which runs from July 7 to July 11, 2025, will give young learners the chance to explore the principles, real-world applications, and creative potential of STEM. Led by Carla Ferrette-Clark, a Career Technical Education (CTE) educator at Military Magnet Academy, campers will benefit from her eight years of experience coaching award-winning robotics and cybersecurity teams.
The STEM Summer Camp is part of the Charleston Learning Center’s broader mission to offer accessible and high-quality educational programs for the Charleston community. In addition to its tech and business workshops for professionals, the center is expanding its youth STEM initiatives to cultivate early interest in technology and innovation.
Thanks to the generous support of Pinnacle, and other invested individuals, scholarships are available for underrepresented students to attend the camp. “Pinnacle is a values-driven organization, with learning as one of our values. Our mission includes making a significant positive impact on the community, which is why we love supporting our neighbor, Charleston Digital,” said Rene Studer of Pinnacle. "Our goal is to harness the expertise and connections within Charleston’s tech community to provide affordable, accessible classes that equip residents with relevant knowledge and skills – starting with engaging students at a young age.” said Charleston Digital Director, Ernest Andrade.
